Step 1: The very first thing that has to be done is – log into your Eqvista account and select the company profile. Once you do this, you will be directed to the main dashboard of the company.
Step 2: Next go to the share class you wish to issue the shares from. Here, you will see a button that says “Issue Shares” on the right top of the page. Click on this as shown below.
Step 3: You will be directed to a page where you can now issue the shares to the employees. First, select the equity share class as shown below from the drop down list, when you click on the field to add the share class name.
Step 4: Once you click on the equity class name, another option will show up as shared below.
The option is to “Add a Shareholder” and you need to click on this.
Step 5: As soon as you are done with this, a drop down page will appear. You need to fill in the details of the issuance process. Select the name of the employee from the list on the field beside the title Shareholder name. In case you have not yet added the employee, you will need to add them.
Note: Check out the support article here to help you learn how to add a shareholder.
Now, add all the details in the respective fields including the date of issuance, the number of shares issued, price per share, and share name. After these, you will come across an option that asks if there is a vesting schedule or not.
In this case, select the option “Yes”. Here, you need to add the vesting schedule name. Click on the field to add a name and a list will appear. Select the vesting schedule you like to assign to the shareholder.
Note: Click here to checkout our article about creating a vesting schedule.
With this, two other options will appear. One is the date when the vesting plan will start, and the second is the option to mention if there are any restrictions or not.
These are the restrictions that you will be placing on the vesting schedule. There are three options usually available (& in the list as well) that appears when you click on the field for it and they are:
- No Restrictions

Here, you will be able to see the employee details of who has been issued shares with the vesting schedule. And along with that, you will also be able to see how much time has been vested and how many shares have been offered up until now.
And like this, you can issue shares to your employees easily.
