If you have begun using Eqvista, you would have learnt that Eqvista strives to be a user-friendly application. It is very easy to create an account on Eqvista, add a company profile, create shareholders and even share documents with the shareholders.

Here is a step by step guide that would help you with the process on how to share documents with your shareholders

Step 1: As soon as you log into your Eqvista account, and select the desired company profile, you would reach the dashboard as below.

Here, click on “Documents” on the left hand side panel of the dashboard as shown above.


Step 2: Once you do this, you would be directed to the following page. 

Add Documents

On this page, you would be able to see all the documents that the company profile has. In case you have not yet added any document in your company’s profile and wish to do that, you can do so by clicking on the button that says “Add Documents”.


Step 3: As soon as you click on the option “Add Documents”, a dialogue box would pop-up as shown below.

Here, you would be able to select a file from your system and upload the file into your company profile. For this, click on the field that says “Select File”.


Step 4: Once you click on the field, another dialogue box appears as shown below.

Choose the file that you want to add to your company and click on “Open” when done. 


Step 5: As soon as you click on open, the file would be added to the field on the previous dialogue box as shown below.

Submit Document

Once this has been done, click on “Submit”.


Step 6: As soon as you submit it, you would come back to the page where all the documents of your company are stored. From here, you will be able to share the document with the rest of the team in your company.

Click on the “User” button in the row of the document that you want to share with the shareholders. In this case, we clicked on “1 User” that is beside the document name – Accounting Data June 2018 as shown below.

Step 7: After clicking on this, a pop-up dialogue box appears as shown below.

Choose the shareholder that you want to share the documents with from the drop down list in the Share Access field. In this case, we selected Monica Green. Once you do this, select “Share”.

By doing this, the document would be shared with the respective shareholder. To see what document is shared with the shareholder, you can follow the next steps.


Step 8: On the dashboard, click on “Shareholders” from the left-side panel as shown below.

Step 9: You would be directed to a page where you can see all the names of the shareholders in your company as shown below.

From here, you can easily select the shareholder that you just shared the document with by clicking on their name. In this case, we selected “Monica Green”.


Step 10: When you click on the name of the shareholder, you would be directed to the next page that displays all the details of the shareholder as shown below.

You would be able to see that the name of the document that you just shared with the shareholder. In case where no documents have been shared with the shareholder, it would display the message “No Shared Documents Yet”

You can share as many documents as you want with the shareholder using these steps.
