Issuing warrants on Eqvista is just as easy as issuing shares. But if you need some help in knowing the exact steps, here is a step by step guide on how to setup, issue and modify a warrant on Eqvista.

Step 1: You need to first log into your Eqvista account and select the company profile for setting up the warrant and issuance. Here, click on “Securities” from the left hand side panel for a drop down menu to appear. Select the option “Warrants” as shown below.

Step 2: By clicking on this, you will be directed to the following page.

Create new warrant

On this page, you will find the details of all the warrants that are there in your company. In case you haven’t yet issued any warrant like in this example, you will find the message saying, “No warrants have been created yet”. And with this, there will be a button under this message that says, “Create New Warrant”. Click on this button.


Step 3: By doing this, you will be directed to the following page.

Here, you need to first add the name of the security from where the shares will be issued and the warrant can be given out. Other than that, you will need to give a name to the class, add the number of shares reserved, and mention the date when the board approved it.

Once you fill in all the details, click on “Submit”.


Step 4: On Submitting it, you will be directed back to the main page where you can now see that the warrant has been created.

Now, from here, you can easily edit some details of the warrant. For this, click on “Action with Security” on the right hand side of the page beside the button “Issue”. A drop down menu will appear from where you need to select the option to “Edit Security Issuance”.


Step 5: As soon as you do this, a pop-up page will appear as shared below.

Add in the details that you want to change and click on “Save”.


Step 6: You will be directed back to the page for the warrant. Now, you can easily issue the warrant to anyone you want to. Here is how you do this. Click on the button that says “Issue” on the page as shown below.

Step 7: Once you do this, you will be redirected to the following page. First, you need to select the warrant that you want to issue from. And then click on “Add a Shareholder”. With this, a drop down page will appear where you can add the details as shared below.

Add in the details like the name of the shareholder (which can be only those whose profile has already been created – check here to know how to add the shareholder), the date of issuance, the number of warrants issued, the exercise price, the expiration date, the warrant name (certificate name), and if there is a vesting schedule or not.

Here we selected that there is no vesting schedule. In case you want to add a vesting schedule, you can select “Yes” and add the details.

Step 8: Once you fill in the details, click on “Submit”. You will be directed to the following page where you can see the warrant and who has been issued the warrants.
